The Building Permit and Inspection process is divided into three, separate Forms processes. The first process is the application for a building permit or set of permits. All applications are assigned a project number, reviewed by the Intake group and building department. The second process is the application for a permit inspection. Once an inspection request is submitted, the inspection is scheduled by the Intake group, and the inspector is assigned and notified. The assigned inspector performs the inspection and logs the notes in the form. From there, as many follow up inspections can be scheduled as needed. Once a building passes an inspection, a clerk checks to make sure that there aren't any outstanding inspections. If there are no outstanding inspections, the inspection applicant is emailed a link to the Certificate of Occupancy form, which is the third process. That form is reviewed by the clerk, and if approved, a Certificate of Occupancy is emailed to the appropriate contact.
