This process is initiated by a request submission which helps developers and users to know better its own customers based on the details of their digitized documents. Metadata is located “behind the scenes” of digitized documents. It is considered a valuable competitive advantage among organizations because it provides a complete picture of all documentation storing in a repository and helps to build a data-driven decision-making culture. To automate the metadata exportation, e-form and workflows have been designed to fit such purpose. By extracting metadata from Laserfiche Client, it can be imported to a separate database in MS Excel and classified into fields and tags to analyze by means of separate pieces. The generated new file consists of a report containing such complete breakdown, which is a “high-resolution picture” of determined variables of repositories. The extracted and manipulated database file can be loaded into Microsoft Power BI in order to build a simple but powerful and easy-to-use data warehouse (DW).
